  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, Data Specialists, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Develop well-tested, maintainable, and production-ready code following software engineering best practices.
  • Perform code reviews, share knowledge across the team, and mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Support technical discovery activities, solution design, effort estimation, and feasibility assessments for new initiatives.

Your profile

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, including strong commercial experience with Scala.
  • Solid understanding of functional programming principles and modern backend development practices.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems, microservices, or data-intensive applications.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API design and integration; experience with GraphQL is an advantage.
  • Experience with concurrency, asynchronous programming, database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, containerised environments, and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong communication skills in English, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to problem solving and mentorship.
  • Availability to work onsite, in the office, from Cluj-Napoca 3 days per week
