Position Overview

Crunchafi is seeking a Product Manager to help grow and evolve our Data Extraction product, which helps accounting professionals quickly retrieve, standardize, and analyze financial data from their clients' accounting systems and ERPs.

Data Extraction eliminates the manual work of requesting, formatting, validating, and preparing financial data for Audit, Financial Due Diligence (FDD/TAS), and other accounting workflows. The product transforms data from different accounting systems into consistent, ready-to-use outputs that help professionals begin their work faster and with greater confidence.

As Product Manager, you'll work closely with customers, Engineering, Design, and go-to-market teams to identify important problems, determine the right solutions, and bring new capabilities to market. You'll help us improve how we collect and standardize financial data while finding new ways to make that data more useful to accounting professionals.

This role is ideal for someone who understands accounting and financial data, enjoys learning how professionals actually work, and can turn complex problems into simple, scalable products.

What You’ll Do

  • Own product capabilities from discovery through development, launch, adoption, and iteration.
  • Spend time with Audit, FDD/TAS, and other accounting professionals to understand their workflows, pain points, and opportunities to eliminate manual work.
  • Translate customer and market insights into clear product requirements and priorities.
  • Help improve how Crunchafi retrieves, standardizes, validates, and delivers financial data across different accounting systems and ERPs.
  • Identify opportunities to create more value from the financial data Crunchafi already collects through better analysis, automation, and workflow support.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design to develop solutions that are useful, intuitive, reliable, and scalable.
  • Use data, customer feedback, and product usage to evaluate what is working and where the product should improve.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Support to successfully launch new capabilities and drive customer adoption.
  • Stay informed about developments in accounting technology, financial data, AI, and automation that could meaningfully improve our customers' workflows.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred and/or experience in public accounting, Audit/Assurance, Financial Due Diligence, or Transaction Advisory Services is a plus.
  • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably with B2B SaaS, accounting technology, financial technology, data, analytics, or workflow products.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial data, including financial statements, trial balances, general ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Experience owning product features or areas from customer discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Comfortable working with data-intensive products and partnering with Engineering on integrations, APIs, data mapping, or related technical concepts.
  • Strong customer discovery and problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover the underlying need behind a feature request.
  • Able to translate complex workflows into clear requirements and simple product experiences.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where not every problem is fully defined and learning new domains as needed.

Competencies

  • Product Ownership – Takes responsibility for delivering meaningful customer outcomes from discovery through adoption.
  • Customer Understanding – Develops a deep understanding of how accounting professionals work and the problems worth solving.
  • Product Judgment – Prioritizes effectively and distinguishes individual customer requests from broader product opportunities.
  • Analytical Thinking – Uses customer evidence, product data, and structured reasoning to make decisions.
  • Execution – Turns problems into clear requirements and works effectively with Engineering and Design to deliver solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Builds alignment across technical, customer-facing, and business teams and communicates decisions clearly.

Benefits

  • Remote work-from-home environment
  • Competitive salary, health, dental and vision insurance plans
  • Flexible time off
  • 401K retirement savings plans for US-based employees, with 3% employer match
  • Incentive Equity Plan
  • Professional development opportunities
