Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager with extensive experience in self-performance, including demolition, abatement. This role involves managing Federal construction projects across various disciplines, including architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing projects valued above $2 million and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage all aspects of self-performance, including demolition, abatement, and execution of DFOW across architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project alignment with plans and specifications.
Budget and Schedule Management:
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
- Track project progress and proactively address potential delays or cost overruns.
- Prepare and submit monthly project reports to stakeholders.
Quality Control and Safety:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance across all project sites.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure construction meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance with specifications.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and implement solutions.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Mentor and lead project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Ensure team members are aligned with project goals and objectives.
Simultaneous Project Management:
- Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines for all deliverables.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 10 years in the construction industry managing projects valued above $2 million, with a strong emphasis on self-performance.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of DFOW, including demolition, abatement, architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outcomes in all aspects of project execution.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective interactions with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project) and construction technology tools.
- Certifications (Preferred): Supervisor Abatement, USACE CQM, OSHA 30, or equivalent certifications.
