About the Role Oversee delivery of technically challenging solutions. Act as a technical point of contact, enable complex problem solving, and drive scalable design. Influence architecture choices and collaborate across teams to ensure stability, security, and performance. Lead a team of engineers delivering platform of platform features. Drive technical execution, coach team members, and ensure alignment with departmental goals. Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and innovation while managing delivery risks and supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the development and operations of a high stakes qualifications platform.
  • Lead delivery of high-complexity features and solutions, ensuring technical excellence and reliability.
  • Manage and develop a team of engineers, scrum masters and QA providing coaching, feedback, and support for growth.
  • Engage with suppliers to secure resources to scale platform delivery teams.
  • Plan, prioritise, and track feature delivery, ensuring programme increments and sprint commitments and release quality.
  • Advise on architecture and design for major platform enhancements.
  • Resolve blockers, manage escalations, and recommend process improvements for operational excellence.
  • Champion consistent coding, testing, and documentation practices across the team. Pilot new AI enabled frameworks, tools, and advanced coding practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical execution with business needs.

Job Location and Hours

The role is aligned to our Bangalore or Chennai offices in India, working a 45 hour week. All our roles are hybrid working; our current policy requires our team to work from their base office 3 times per week.
