We are looking for a motivated and hands-on IT Infrastructure & DevOps Trainee who is interested in learning and working with real-world systems, servers, networks, cloud, security, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, and network issues.
- Setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of workstations, laptops, printers, network devices, and other IT equipment.
- Assist in managing Linux/Ubuntu servers, including users, permissions, services, system resources, and basic troubleshooting.
- Work with infrastructure services such as Apache, Nginx, SSH, DNS, DHCP, MySQL/Postgres, and related technologies.
- Assist with network administration, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Support Git, Docker, CI/CD, Bash, PowerShell, and Python-based automation.
- Gain hands-on exposure to AWS/Azure, Proxmox/VMware/Nutanix, virtual machines, storage, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix, and Wazuh.
- Assist with system security, patch management, server hardening, endpoint security, and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor and verify backups and assist with restore and disaster recovery activities.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, network diagrams, configurations, runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, networking, security, and automation projects.
- Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, and Development teams while continuously learning new technologies.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows, MacOS, Linux, networking, hardware, and commandline environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to learn and work hands-on with servers, networks, and infrastructure.
- Good communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Linux Administration, Git/GitHub/GitLab, Docker, CI/CD, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Azure, Proxmox, VMware, Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Wazuh, OpenLDAP, Active Directory, Cloudflare, Apache, Nginx, and Databases will be an advantage.
