Position Overview:

The Sr. Financial Analyst provides regional financial leadership and strategic oversight for assigned Central and West region offices, with accountability for financial planning, forecasting, close support, reporting, acquisition integration, producer compensation review, and finance talent development. This role serves as a finance partner to regional, corporate, sales, operations, technology, M&A, and legal stakeholders by translating financial results and business trends into actionable recommendations that support growth, profitability, integration, and operating discipline. The position leads financial analysis, budgeting, performance management, and team development in alignment with company objectives, accounting standards, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. This role is intended for candidates located in the Eastern U.S. and will work closely with partners across the region.

Essential Accounting & Finance Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance management for assigned offices.
  • Analyze business results, key financial metrics, and variances to identify risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Develop annual budgets and forecasts, including assumptions, drivers, and financial impact analysis.

Business Partnership & Advisory

  • Partner with regional and corporate leaders to support decision-making, profitability, growth initiatives, and operational improvements.
  • Provide financial guidance on headcount planning, compensation decisions, and other business investments.

M&A and Strategic Initiatives

  • Support acquisition activities, including due diligence, earn-out analysis, system conversions, accounting changes, and integration efforts.
  • Lead finance initiatives that improve reporting, controls, processes, and operational effectiveness.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop financial analysts through mentoring, performance management, workload prioritization, and quality review.
  • Establish consistent financial processes, reporting standards, and alignment with business and finance objectives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of finance or accounting experience, preferably within insurance brokerage, financial services, or public accounting.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing finance or accounting professionals.
  • Proficiency with Excel, financial reporting tools, and business systems; experience with Lawson, Cognos, or agency management systems preferred.

  • Influence business decisions through financial analysis and sound judgment.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to operational and executive leaders.
  • Build relationships across functions and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solve business problems by evaluating data, identifying options, and recommending actions.
  • Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $120,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
