Job title: Associate Director - Business Change Analyst

Some careers have more impact than others.

If you’re looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued you’ll be.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, with operations in 62 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realize their ambitions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director - Business Change Analyst

In this role, you will:

  • Design current and future-state operating models across products. Lead cross-product process mapping and analysis including workshops; prioritise improvements
  • Standard translation of delivery outcomes into operating model and process changes. Facilitate cross-product workshops on capabilities, roles, processes, governance, locations, sourcing, and controls
  • Maintain standard cross-product artefacts showing process and operating model impacts. Analyze end-to-end flows to identify bottlenecks, waste, duplication, rework, and manual workarounds
  • Surface control weaknesses, operational risks, and data quality issues in process analysis. Define process measures with Business Owners (baseline, target, and measurement approach)
  • Implement benefits tracking and reporting to evidence outcomes
  • Provide standards and templates for process and impact mapping
  • Review and assure product-level outputs for consistency and comparability
  • Consolidate findings into a single value-stream view of issues, risks, and impacts
  • Validate current-state accuracy and future-state feasibility with operations leads and SMEs
  • Capture constraints and assumptions with solution and system architects

To be successful you will:

  • Cross-product outcomes drive hand-offs and unclear boundaries without standardization. Misalignment between Business Owners, Product Owners, and delivery leads to one end-to-end model and measures
  • Inconsistent identification and evidence of control weaknesses, operational risk, and data quality issues. No shared baselines or consistent measure definitions across products and teams
  • Operating model and process change treated as incidental to delivery, not a designed outcome. Local product optimizations that degrade end-to-end value-stream flow
  • Measures defined without clear ownership, baselines, or measurement method. Inconsistent current-to-future impact mapping, causing fragmented implementation
  • Operating model changes remain regional and short-term rather than end-to-end. Benefits not evidenced, increasing operational risk and control gaps
  • Business Outcome Leads and Business Owners. Product Owners and product leaders
  • Delivery managers for cross-product outcomes. Product BAs and process analysts
  • Operations lead and process SMEs
  • Risk, Compliance, Controls, and Audit partners
  • Data governance, data quality, and change leads
