Maxwood Furniture is a rapidly growing furniture company with an expanding portfolio of brands including Max & Lily, Plank + Beam, and Maxtrix. Since launching over two decades ago, we've built multiple sales channels across DTC websites and third-party marketplaces. We're passionate about designing inspiring, on-trend furniture that brings customers' home décor dreams to life.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Engineer to manage our growing data platform built on Microsoft Fabric and expand the infrastructure of related systems. In this role, you will work closely with other Data Engineers, BI Analysts, and AI Specialists to help scale and operate an AI-ready data warehouse infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all Microsoft Fabric dataflows and pipelines, minimizing downtime and failures
  • Establish and maintain API connections and external data integrations
  • Create standardized error reporting
  • Manage resource allocation and capacity management within Azure
  • Work alongside AI Specialists to ensure data is structured, governed, and optimized for AI and machine learning workloads
  • Help optimize data access and usability for Data Engineers and BI Specialists
  • Document processes, configurations, and operational best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a database, data engineering, or analytics role
  • Elevated understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, Spark, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern ETL/ELT tools
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies in a fast-evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Familiarity with Azure services (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory)
  • Exposure to other Microsoft data tools such as Power BI, SQL Server, and SSMS
