Your profile

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer (Android) to join our Buymie team and help us build high-quality, innovative mobile applications.

Job Responsibilities• Write clean, concise code that is stable and extensible,

  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application, 
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with other engineers, product managers and the creative team,
  • Identify, debug, and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance issues in both development and production environments,
  • Optimize application performance and scalability,
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional code,
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies and adopt best practices,
  • Implement Material Design principles with a strong focus on UI and user experience,
  • Estimate task complexity and self-manage execution of medium to large features/bug fixes, ensuring timely delivery,
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to achieve project goals.

Your profile

Requirements• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience,

  • More than 6 years of experience in Android development.
  • Solid background in software development and design patterns,
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java,
  • Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and different versions of Android.
  • Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, including UI/UX principles,
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., Retrofit, Hilt, Firebase),
  • A demonstrable portfolio of Android applications is a plus,
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken,
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
