At IXOPAY, our people are our greatest strength. Our collaborative culture is built on shared values that guide how we work, innovate, and support our customers.
About the Role
We're looking for a Product Manager, Dedicated Developer Packages (DDP) to lead the product and delivery relationship for a portfolio of IXOPAY's strategic enterprise merchants.
In this highly customer-facing role, you'll work directly with merchants to understand their payment environments, translate complex requirements into clearly defined development priorities, and ensure dedicated engineering resources remain focused on the work that delivers the greatest customer value. You'll own the process from requirements and scoping through prioritization, delivery, and stakeholder communication.
Working closely with merchants, dedicated developers, Solutions Architects, Engineering, and commercial teams, you'll balance customer-specific needs with IXOPAY's broader platform strategy while creating a predictable, transparent delivery experience.
This is an opportunity to combine deep payments expertise, technical product management, and enterprise customer engagement while directly influencing how some of IXOPAY's most strategic customers evolve their payment infrastructure.
What You'll Do
Own the Merchant Product Relationship
- Serve as the primary product and delivery contact for a defined portfolio of DDP merchants, owning conversations around priorities, scope, and delivery.
- Develop a deep understanding of each merchant's payment environment, including PSPs, acquirers, payment methods, routing, tokenization, checkout flows, settlement, reconciliation, and key performance objectives.
- Establish a consistent customer cadence through priority reviews, refinement sessions, progress updates, and strategic planning conversations.
- Build trusted relationships that enable you to anticipate changing requirements, identify risks early, and prevent issues from becoming escalations.
Define & Prioritize Delivery
- Translate merchant requirements into clear epics, user stories, and development tickets with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Own and prioritize the backlog, ensuring dedicated engineering resources always have a clear and appropriately sequenced set of priorities.
- Lead refinement and estimation sessions, ensuring requirements, dependencies, technical considerations, and scope are understood before development begins.
- Partner with Solutions Architects and Engineers to evaluate technical approaches, identify trade-offs, and establish realistic delivery plans.
Manage Scope & Commitments
- Develop and maintain Statements of Work (SOWs), clearly defining scope, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, effort, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage SOWs through internal review and customer approval, ensuring all stakeholders understand what has—and has not—been committed.
- Navigate scope changes and competing priorities with customers, balancing flexibility with the need to protect engineering capacity and delivery commitments.
- Proactively communicate risks, blockers, dependencies, and changes to customers and internal stakeholders.
Drive Customer & Platform Value
- Represent delivery progress with merchant leadership, including steering committees, executive updates, and escalation conversations.
- Coordinate with merchant technical teams, PSPs, acquirers, and other external stakeholders to establish clear requirements, responsibilities, and dependencies.
- Balance merchant-specific requirements with IXOPAY's broader product strategy, identifying capabilities that can deliver value beyond an individual customer.
- Share recurring merchant needs and market insights with core Product teams to help inform the evolution of the IXOPAY platform.
What You'll Bring
Required
- Several years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Technical Business Analysis, or a related role within enterprise software or platform technology.
- Experience owning customer-facing technical delivery streams from requirements and scoping through implementation and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including transaction lifecycles, PSPs, acquirers, payment orchestration, routing, and tokenization.
- Understanding of payment authentication and regulatory concepts such as 3DS, SCA, PSD2, PCI DSS, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Experience translating complex customer requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized engineering backlogs.
- Experience developing and managing Statements of Work, scoping documents, change requests, or similar commercial delivery commitments.
- Strong technical fluency with APIs, integrations, and modern software architectures, with the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs alongside Engineering and Solutions Architecture.
- Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills across technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve product discovery, requirements development, analysis, and day-to-day product workflows.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and take ownership of customer and delivery outcomes.
Preferred
- Experience within payments, FinTech, payment orchestration, payment gateways, acquiring, or enterprise commerce.
- Experience supporting large enterprise merchants or strategic customer accounts.
- Experience working directly with PSPs, acquirers, payment networks, or other payment ecosystem partners.
- Experience managing dedicated engineering capacity or customer-specific development programs.
- Experience identifying opportunities to turn customer-specific requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
