Key Responsibilities
Workday Migration & Financial Systems Support
- Support the ongoing migration from Sage Intacct to Workday, focusing on financial processes and operational continuity
- Assist in configuration, validation, and deployment of Workday Financial modules
- Participate in testing phases, including user acceptance testing and validation of finance workflows
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and system configuration in partnership with implementation teams
Accounting Software Migration & Process Optimization
- Support migration efforts while evaluating how current processes can be simplified, automated, or eliminated
- Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and recommend improvements using Workday capabilities
- Partner with leadership to assess how system changes will impact team structure, workload, and resource allocation
- Contribute to designing a more efficient, scalable finance operating model post-migration
Financial Data Migration & Validation
- Perform data mapping, cleansing, and validation of financial data from legacy systems
- Ensure accurate migration of:
- Chart of accounts
- Transaction data
- Vendor and customer records
- Historical financial data
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity
Workflow Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive finance processes, including reporting, reconciliation, and data handling
- Collaborate on implementing automation solutions and AI-driven tools to streamline operations
- Support development of standardized workflows that reduce manual effort and improve consistency
- Continuously recommend improvements as new automation and AI capabilities become available
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Finance and Accounting teams
- HR and Payroll
- IT and system implementation partners
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams
- Ensure seamless coordination during migration and post-implementation phases
Documentation & Reporting
- Document:
- Financial workflows
- Data mappings and transformations
- System configurations and processes
- Provide regular updates on migration progress and system readiness
- Support audit, compliance, and reporting requirements
Post-Implementation Support & Optimization
- Support Workday go-live and stabilization efforts
- Troubleshoot issues related to financial workflows and system performance
- Monitor system effectiveness and identify further opportunities for optimization
- Contribute to long-term financial systems strategy and enhancements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong background in:
- Accounting processes
- Financial reporting
- Finance operations
- Direct experience with Workday implementation. Experience supporting or participating in Workday implementations or migration to Workday (or vice versa)
- Experience with:
- Data migration
- Data validation
- Financial systems workflows
- Strong understanding of how financial data flows across:
- Finance
- HR
- Payroll
- Ability to:
- Analyze and document business requirements
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Work independently and manage deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with Sage Intact migration to Workday implementation projects
- Prior experience with Sage Intacct or other financial systems
- Background in financial systems transformation or digital projects
- Experience working in multi-entity or multi-department environments
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
