QA Automation Engineer - Remote

Job Title: QA Automation Engineer Location: 100% Remote (U.S.) Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2 Salary Range: $100,000–$150,000 Annually Experience Required: 12+ years

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for enterprise web, API, and distributed systems. In this role you will be a key contributor to engineering quality, partnering with development teams to expand test coverage, embed automation into CI/CD pipelines, and accelerate confident software delivery. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks with a clear understanding of testing strategy, including risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and continuous testing in Agile environments.

Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Four or more years of QA automation experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Hands-on experience automating REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid SQL skills for data validation.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6).

  • Knowledge of containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
  • Exposure to behavior-driven development frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
  • Familiarity with security testing fundamentals (OWASP, basic penetration testing).
