Your tasks:
Take ownership of a key part of our solid chemicals business in Europe:
- Strategy & Growth: Define and implement the strategy for expanding HELMs pigment distribution activities across Europe in close collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain teams.
- Market Intelligence: Analyse purchasing and sales activities, monitor performance, and identify opportunities based on market trends.
- Relationship Management: Manage supplier and customer accounts directly, supported by local Sales Managers, and negotiate contracts confidently.
- Decision-Making: Set short- and medium-term strategies, including pricing, to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Planning & Optimization: Work closely with Supply Chain Operations on purchase planning, inventory optimization, and international value chains.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Contribute ideas to HELM 2030 with many initiatives addressing climate change, biodiversity, and social responsibility.
Your profile:
- Degree in business administration, chemical engineering, or comparable qualification.
- First years of professional experience in product management, procurement, or sales within the chemical industry (e.g., coatings, plastics, paper, construction materials).
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to assess risks and opportunities in a global supply context; experience with Asian partners is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, quick decision-making ability, and passion for sustainable business models.
- Team-oriented, resilient, and recognized as a reliable partner by stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and SAP.
