About the Opportunity
Global Revenue Accounting (GRA) is a specialized global team performing ASC 606 revenue accounting out of Pune. As a General Accountant II, you will serve as an integral Finance Partner to ensure seamless business continuity, safeguard our internal control environment, and maintain our operational cadence. This is an individual contributor role with direct exposure to high-level finance leadership, as your reports and reconciliations directly impact the organization's final revenue and top line.
About the Responsibilities
• Revenue Accounting & ASC 606 Compliance:
• Perform monthly revenue accruals and deferrals in strict adherence to ASC 606 requirements.
• Conduct regular project reviews with the APS finance team to align project and POC status with Revenue Guidelines and RAR.
• Execute monthly cut-off procedures for Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) based on Incoterms and LAC details.
• Manage revenue allocation processes to determine accurate contract asset and liability positions.
• Internal Controls & SOX Governance:
• Execute quarterly SOX controls and ensure timely closure during Quarter-End Close (QEC).
• Address PWC audit inquiries, deal reviews, and contract modifications related to prior closes.
• Reconciliations & Financial Reporting:
• Perform quarterly reconciliations to substantiate Revenue-related Balance Sheet GL accounts (including ST & LT Contract Assets, Contract Liabilities, and AR Adjustments).
• Prepare the Balance Sheet Review Deck, providing thorough Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) and Year-over-Year (YoY) variance explanations for Revenue GLs.
• Automate manual reporting processes to enhance close efficiency.
Who we are looking for -
• Education: Qualified CA, CIMA, M.Com, or MBA in Finance (or equivalent field). Bachelor's degree in Finance required.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in global revenue accounting, statutory book closures, and ASC 606 standards.
• Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills, strong financial analysis capabilities, and experience with Revenue Automation tools (RAR) and SOX controls.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, strong logical problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a collaborative "finisher" mindset.
• Work Schedule: Ability to stretch and work extended hours/weekends during quarterly close cycles to meet strict Close Calendar deadlines. No travel required.

Education
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Related Field
Master Degree is preferred but not essential in Finance or Related Field
