In this role, you'll own quality assurance across the data warehouse development lifecycle — partnering with business analysts, subject matter experts, and developers to validate data integrations, transformations, and reporting. You'll be a champion for data integrity, spotting and resolving discrepancies before they reach the business.
We're looking for someone who builds reusable test collateral, automates wherever possible, and thinks beyond the immediate issue to understand its ripple effects across processes and systems.

- Review requirements and technical designs with developers and analysts to confirm expected functionality.
- Perform impact analysis, quantify and mitigate risk, and document key issues.
- Communicate project readiness, status, and risks to the team, escalating as appropriate.
Testing Strategy & Execution
- Develop test strategy and manage testing efforts across functional, data validation, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Determine test environment and test data requirements, coordinating with developers as needed.
- Write and execute test cases, map them to requirements, and lead peer reviews of test results.
- Track defects and issues through resolution using formal project management methodology.
- Proactively identify and implement automated testing solutions.
Ongoing Data Quality & Monitoring
- Develop a strategy for continuous data quality monitoring, including trending reports and quality metrics.
- Evaluate data changes and anomalies against historical trends and benchmarks, guide resolution of variances.
- Troubleshoot job failures alongside developers and provide metrics reporting on test execution and defects.
- Build reusable, automated testing and reporting processes.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, plus 3+ years of relevant work experience.

- Familiarity with relational databases and the ability to extract data as needed.
- Experience validating data using primary key matching, data hashing, or checksum-based reconciliation techniques.
- Knowledge of software testing processes, methods, and automated tools within a BI environment.
- Track record of owning testing efforts for highly complex projects, from requirements through ongoing support.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong root-cause analysis skills and sound judgment when assessing impact.
