Summary:

The Network Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s enterprise-wide network infrastructure across multiple plant and office locations. This position ensures high availability, performance, and security of network systems, supporting mission-critical operations in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex LAN/WAN architectures, securing network traffic, optimizing bandwidth, and ensuring compliance through accurate documentation. With a strong foundation in Cisco technologies and enterprise security practices, the Network Engineer enables seamless connectivity for over 200 users while supporting advanced systems such as IP telephony, video conferencing, CCTV, and virtualized environments.

Location: Singhitarai (Chhattisgarh)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize LAN/WAN networks across plant and office facilities.
  • Design, configure, and maintain VLANs, Inter-VLAN routing, STP/RSTP, NAT, and ACLs.
  • Configure and administer firewalls (Fortinet/Sophos preferred) and implement robust security policies.
  • Deploy and manage enterprise-grade Wi-Fi and IP telephony systems.
  • Configure and maintain VC conferencing solutions for seamless collaboration.
  • Implement and monitor IPSec VPNs, bandwidth management, traffic shaping, and failover link configurations.
  • Support OFC backbone infrastructure and manage SFP modules for high-speed connectivity.
  • Administer and scale CCTV networks in environments with 500+ cameras.
  • Coordinate with ISPs and third-party vendors for network connectivity, hardware support, and service escalations.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation and ensure adherence to audit and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, and QoS.
  • Hands-on experience with firewall configuration (Fortinet or Sophos preferred).
  • Proficiency with managed switches from Cisco, HPE, Aruba, or D-Link.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V preferred).
  • Prior experience in plant or manufacturing IT environments is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA), Engineering (BE/BTech), or equivalent.
  • CCNA certification is preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in network or IT infrastructure roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage networks supporting 200+ users in an enterprise security environment.
