Full description

The Company

TelemetryX, formerly Access Control Group, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific Rim Capital (PRC). TelemetryX is a fast-growing provider of agnostic telemetry data and third-party asset management services. TelemetryX centralizes fleet intelligence to transform data into operational power — driving continuous improvement across every asset and aspect of fleet operations. Our solutions help clients optimize total cost of ownership, performance, and safety.

Job Summary

The Fleet Intelligence Analyst (Business Analyst) is responsible for translating customer telemetry, maintenance, and ownership data into customer-facing presentations using a suite of AI tools. The ideal candidate is both an expert in analyzing and reporting on fleet data as well as developing and managing an AI tool chain to scale customer-facing reports.  It requires equal parts analytical rigor and communication clarity including querying data, identifying what matters, and building structured narratives that help customers understand the value of TelemetryX fleet management. The role will work closely with fleet managers and sales teams to deliver periodic business reviews, executive briefings, and custom data reports that drive executive engagement.

This position is onsite in our Irvine, California office.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Develop and manage the AI tool chain to accelerate and scale the creation of high-quality, polished presentation assets.
  • Query and analyze telemetry, maintenance records, and lease/purchase data to surface customer-specific trends, anomalies, and performance benchmarks that support business outcomes.
  • Partner with Fleet Management and Sales teams to understand each customer’s pain points and needs, then build data-driven presentations around that narrative.
  • Validate data quality and accuracy before every customer-facing deliverable — ensuring that insights presented are reliable and defensible.
  • Develop and maintain a reusable library of presentation templates, data modules, and visual components to improve speed and consistency across deliverables.
  • Continuously refine presentation standards and best practices, staying current with AI tools, design trends, and data storytelling techniques.
  • Identify opportunities to proactively surface insights to customers anticipating what data would be most valuable.
  • Manage incoming requests from account teams, prioritize effectively, and deliver polished materials on tight timelines including quarterly business reviews (QBR) and executive meetings.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve data access, documentation, and usability for insights work.

Customer Engagement

  • Own the end-to-end creation of customer-facing presentations including QBR decks, onboarding reports, value summaries, and executive briefings.
  • Occasionally present findings directly to customers or support Fleet Managers or Sales teams during customer calls and meetings.

AI Tools & Innovation

  • Develop and own AI tools and agents for data processing and summarization, presentation generation, and automated insight delivery.
  • Champion the use of AI-assisted workflows within the Customer Success organization to scale the impact of data storytelling across the team.

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, customer success, or customer-facing analytics role. Adaptive curiosity — you learn continuously, embrace new tools, and evolve your approach as the landscape changes
  • Sound judgment — you think critically, validate information, and make confident decisions even when the answer isn't obvious
  • Resourcefulness — you find a way forward with what's available, solving problems creatively rather than waiting for perfect conditions
  • Clear, precise communication — you articulate ideas and needs effectively, in writing and in conversation
  • Team player mentality — you are collaborative by nature, share credit, and make the people around you better
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves — no task is beneath you; you lead by doing and take ownership from start to finish
  • Integrity and accountability — you take ownership of your work, flag concerns proactively, and hold yourself to a high standard
  • Ability to apply structured communication frameworks (e.g., Pyramid Principle) — leading with the key insight and supporting with data, not the other way around.
  • Ability to calibrate detail level and tone for different audiences — a fleet operations manager and a CFO require very different versions of the same data story.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $85,000 - $99,000
  • Performance Bonus: Eligible for a quarterly bonus of up to 10%, bringing the total compensation range to $93,500 - $108,900.
  • Health Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with an Employee Assistance Program and 401(k) plan with company match, available for full-time employees.
  • Paid Time Off: Accrue three weeks of PTO annually.
  • Holidays: Enjoy 15.5 paid holidays throughout the year.
