Stantec's GTA based team is currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Professional

Your Opportunity

A Senior Project Manager to join our team of project managers, technical staff, and multi-discipline specialists in the completion of class environmental assessments, preliminary and detail design of transportation infrastructure projects. You will lead a team of professionals in the planning, design and construction of large-scale municipal projects in our growing roads and transit-based sector, as part of the Utilities Coordination team. The projects will be in various phases from environmental assessments and conceptual planning, through design, construction, and handover.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects as a PM for Environmental Assessments and Detailed Design Projects. Managing the approved scope, budget and schedule are of utmost importance.
  • Lead the Design Team consisting of the Engineers, Scientists, Planners, Coordinators, Schedulers, and other consultants.
  • Create innovative ideas and approaches to re-evaluate and improve our business.
  • Promoting and overseeing our safety program and overall safety culture.
  • Day-to-day project oversight and communication with the client and project team.
  • Develop, track, update, forecast and modify the project schedule and budget throughout all phases of the project.
  • Review and track all contracts, invoices, and payments to all contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors.
  • Leadership and oversite of our safety program, quality reviews, plan reviews and inspections.
  • Understand and assist in the negotiation of contracts of all parties to the project.
  • Oversee approval of all invoices and change orders associated with the project.
  • Evaluate, advise on and assist in resolving disputes and claims.
  • Regular collaboration with colleagues in our multi-disciplined design office.
  • Financial management of projects and resource allocation.
  • Business development support and leading proposal development.
