We are looking for hands-on Network Deployment Engineers to support a large-scale network infrastructure project in Ghent.

The role will focus on the onsite installation, replacement, and deployment of network equipment across multiple buildings and technical areas. Responsibilities will include hardware installation, network cabling, support during planned cutovers, and coordination with local and international technical teams.

Key Responsibilities• Install, replace, and deploy network equipment across multiple locations in Ghent

  • Remove existing hardware and install new switches and other network devices
  • Perform network cabling and recabling activities
  • Work in distribution rooms, technical rooms, and data center environments
  • Support network migration and cutover activities
  • Verify connectivity and basic network functionality following installations
  • Coordinate with network engineers, local IT teams, and other project stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations and infrastructure changes
  • Support planned evening or weekend activities when required
  • Previous hands-on experience with network installation, deployment, or infrastructure projects
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Experience installing and replacing switches, routers, and other network hardware
  • Experience with structured cabling and network/distribution room environments
  • Practical experience in enterprise network or data center environments
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
  • Good English communication skills
  • Availability to work onsite in Ghent
  • Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend activities when required
  • Ability to provide a criminal record extract not older than three months, where required for the role

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Cisco network equipment
  • Previous experience with large-scale network deployment or migration projects
  • Knowledge of VLANs, routing, switching, and basic network configuration
