What they look for
Requirements
Candidates must have 4+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years managing data-heavy or workflow-heavy products. Proficiency in AI prototyping tools and a strong track record of building internal or B2B tools are essential.
Benefits
Full description
CapsLock builds exceptional marketing solutions for large partners in the home improvement industry. We don’t just advertise our clients’ products or services - we build long-term marketing solutions within the context of permanent partnerships.
Our people are the backbone of everything we do and are our most valuable asset. Our business model demands top talent across the board, and we aim to create conditions that attract and retain the best individuals globally.
Role Overview
We are expanding our Product team, and this role owns a slice of the internal product ecosystem our teams run the business on.
Your starting focus is the Media Buyer Automation Platform — the rules engine, pacing logic, spend controls, alerting, and workflow tooling that let a small team of buyers manage budgets that would otherwise require significantly more headcount. From there, your scope extends across the internal tools that support the wider acquisition engine: marketing automation, reporting and analytics workflows, creative operations, and the new tooling we build as the business shifts. We expect the exact portfolio to evolve, and we are hiring someone who wants that rather than someone looking for a single fixed product.
This is a hands-on builder role rather than a coordination role. Your users are colleagues, the feedback loop is short, and your work shows up in CPA, ROAS, wasted spend, and hours returned to the team. You will report to the Head of Product and work daily with Engineering, Data, Media Buying, Creative, and Operations.
Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the end-to-end roadmap for the Media Buyer Automation Platform, including discovery, prioritization, specifications, delivery, adoption, and iteration.
- Take on additional internal products as the portfolio grows, sequencing work across marketing automation, reporting and analytics, creative operations, cross-platform account management, and data reconciliation while maintaining focus on the core platform.
2. User Needs & Automation
- Work closely with media buyers to understand their workflows and translate their operational needs into reliable automation for budget pacing, anomaly alerts, spend guardrails, bulk actions, and approval flows.
- Identify manual processes that are consuming capacity across the business and evaluate whether they should be automated through internal development, external solutions, or left unchanged.
3. Product Development & Delivery
- Write clear product specifications that engineers can build from, including edge cases, failure modes, rollback behavior, and a defined bar for completion.
- Prototype ideas and build lightweight automations where this can accelerate alignment or address smaller workflow needs without relying on the engineering roadmap.
4. Adoption, Measurement & Collaboration
- Drive product adoption through onboarding, enablement, documentation, and continuous feedback loops that ensure tools remain actively used and valuable.
- Define and track meaningful product metrics, ensuring they are properly instrumented and visible, while partnering with Data on event taxonomy, attribution challenges, and measurement trade-offs.
5. Experimentation & Optimization
- Run experiments and staged rollouts to validate changes, particularly for functionality that affects advertising spend, before deploying them across full budgets.
- Continuously evaluate and iterate on products based on performance data, user feedback, and evolving business needs.
Requirements
- 4+ years in Product Management, with 2+ years owning data-heavy or workflow-heavy products end-to-end.
- Proven track record of building internal or B2B tools for colleagues and driving high adoption.
- Skilled in KPI design, event taxonomy, dashboarding, and turning numbers into decisions.
- Active use of AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, n8n, custom scripts) to build prototypes and automate workflows. (Examples will be requested).
- Practical understanding of LLM limitations, probabilistic feature evaluation, and fallback logic.
- Comfortable running multiple workstreams at once and making confident calls on what to ship first.
- Strong track record of launching small, frequent releases rather than big-bang updates.
- Excellent written/verbal English—creates clear specs, explicit trade-offs, and transparent status updates.
- Experience collaborating effectively across global time zones.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with paid acquisition platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok), rules engines, budget pacing, or creative testing workflows.
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering degree, or experience managing complex SaaS products with multi-platform API integrations.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing frameworks, feature flagging, or staged rollout systems for spend-affecting logic.
