About the role

We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our Global IT team based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Analytics Platform Manager, you'll play an important role in building and supporting the data solutions that power business intelligence and analytics across Vinarchy.

Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams and senior data professionals, you'll help design, develop and maintain reliable data pipelines, support reporting and analytics capabilities, and contribute to a data-driven culture across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern cloud-based technologies while helping a newly formed global organisation unlock the value of its data.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develop, maintain and enhance ETL processes across multiple data sour

• Support the design and optimisation of data models for reporting and analytics.

• Collaborate with business users and IT teams to understand data requirements and priorities.

• Build and support scalable, reliable data pipelines that enable business intelligence solutions.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance and security standards are maintained.

• Monitor data environments, troubleshoot issues and support operational problem resolution.

• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.

• Contribute to documentation, standards and best practice development.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience working in a Data Engineering, BI or Analytics-focused role.

• Strong SQL skills and practical ETL development experience.

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling approaches.

• Exposure to platforms and tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or similar analytics technologies.

• Experience or familiarity with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS or GCP.

• Knowledge of data governance and security principles.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
