Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management, or a related technical role.
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience shipping mobile features or working on consumer-facing/B2C solutions.
  • Experience working with a Design team or familiarity with basic design principles.
  • Track record for product delivery and demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and across a distributed team in different time zones.
  • Ability to work with data and doing basic data analysis.

As a Product Manager, you will lead a dedicated cross-functional sub-team comprising ten or more Software Engineers, one UX Designer, and one UX Researcher. This team sits within the larger Chrome Android portfolio, which operates as a distributed organization of over eighty members, mostly located across the West Coast. In this pivotal role, you will drive both the development of consumer-facing application features and core foundational stack capabilities, frequently running experiments to validate your product hypotheses. You will grind relentlessly until achieving meaningful impact and remains completely unfazed by complex organizational or technical constraints. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Canada: $138000 - $141000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Design and launch various experiments with analytics around usage metrics and business impact, and iterating through that analysis or UX research partnership on concept studies.
  • Engage, and align with the broader Chrome team involving feature engagement trade-offs, and the latest capabilities/content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, UX Design, and more internal partners (UX Researcher, Marketing, Legal, Privacy, and Public Relations).
  • Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex cross-functional projects.
  • Extend our product strategy for certain segments of users and drive it forward, getting buy-in from Leadership and stakeholders across Chrome and Android teams.
