POSITION TITLE: Manager, IT Engineering CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking an IT Operations Manager to oversee and drive the success of business objectives including safety, people, customers, and financials. This role maintains direct oversight of the Service Desk and IT Operations Engineers, focusing heavily on mentorship, technical guidance, and operational execution rather than general management. This position manages functional strategies that result in accomplishing business goals, meeting department financial goals, being a successful manager of a team, and creating a reliable customer experience. The ideal candidate has proven success supervising within an Information Technology department, a proactive leader with strong people and process management skills, plus a strong work ethic and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides direct people leadership to the Enterprise Applications and Application Development team, including performance management, career development, and hiring.
· Owns the transition of the team from a generalist model to a specialist model aligned to platform domains, including individualized development plans for engineers currently carrying mixed platform responsibilities.
· Owns technical design standards and solution quality across enterprise application builds, including architecture decisions for NetSuite, UKG, and connected systems.
· Partners with Product Owners and the Business Transformation and Standards function to translate prioritized backlog items into sprint commitments and provides transparent capacity tradeoffs when demand exceeds staffing.
· Owns delivery execution within the SAFe agile operating model for the team, including sprint planning, Program Increment planning participation, and velocity and quality reporting to IT leadership.
· Coordinates with Field Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, Systems Teams, and IT Operations to ensure enterprise application changes are deployed, supported, and monitored consistently with change management standards.
· Manages onboarding and platform assignments for new engineers joining the team, ensuring new hires ramp into a defined platform domain.
· Escalates staffing, capacity, and platform risk to IT and BTS leadership with clear tradeoff options.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• · This role operates out of ADB's corporate headquarters located at: 18777 U.S. Highway 66, Pacific, MO 63069. Candidates who are not located in the St. Louis, MO metro area may be considered, though they will be required to travel to headquarters at least quarterly.
· Occasional travel to field operations sites is required
· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and cell phones
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• · 5+ years leading a software application development or engineering team, including direct people management, required.
· Hands-on experience with enterprise business platforms such as NetSuite, UKG, HubSpot, or comparable ERP/CRM/HCM systems required.
· Demonstrated success transitioning a generalist development team toward platform-specific expertise, strongly preferred.
· Experience operating within a SAFe or other agile delivery framework, preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
