This hybrid position will be located at our Foot Locker Office in New York, NY.
Expectations for hybrid in-office schedule is three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team! The Senior Analyst, Finance North America Marketing reports directly to the Senior Manager, NA Marketing Finance. This position is responsible for developing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for assigned marketing campaigns and support departments. This role partners with Marketing, Divisional teams, and Accounting to help ensure timely, accurate financial inputs and analysis that support profitability, risk management, and informed decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Generate and oversee financial marketing expense forecasts for assigned banners, including sales, expense management, and gross margin.
- Partner with the Marketing and Divisional teams to assess weekly forecasts and develop seasonal and annual plans.
- Conduct in-depth meaningful, actionable, and timely analysis to inform organizational leaders of trends and exceptions.
- Identify and assess risks and opportunities to control and reduce expenses, along with provide recommendations for increasing spend effectiveness.
- Participate in the development of new business opportunities or changes in Marketing programs/promotional offerings by projecting and analyzing financial results.
- Prepare various financial analyses to determine profitability and impact on the company as needed.
- Partner with the Accounting team to ensure all marketing programs (PO, invoice, coding, etc.) are timely and accurately communicated for accounting entries, payments, and accruals.
- Maintain appropriate internal control documentation, as applicable, and adhere to formally documented control procedures to ensure on-going compliance with all current legislation and to prevent any audit exceptions.
- Partner closely with accounting support team to develop and maintain all controls and process flowcharts.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and related reports. • Ensure that the operational performance of the division is accurately reflected in said statements and reports.
- Provide support to organizational leadership on special projects and requests, as needed.
- Create new and enhance existing marketing reporting to better serve the business needs.
- Assist in the implementation and change management of new systematic tool migration (Shopper, Ariba, Accounting sub ledger tracking, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of related experience
- High level of proficiency in MS Word and Excel (Power BI experience a plus)
- Proficiency with PowerPoint preferred
- Accounting knowledge, experience, or background helpful
- Strong analytical and data literacy skills
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment, as well as being highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be an analytical problem solver and innovator with a strong sense of curiosity
- Experience with the marketing industry a plus but not required

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $75000 - $85000/yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
