Job Description:
JSL is seeking a Junior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to provide system administration and cybersecurity support for Link Inject to Live (LITL) systems operating within Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environments. This role supports the installation, operation, sustainment, and cybersecurity compliance of systems that integrate live platforms with simulated training environments, in accordance with DoD standards and contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot LITL systems and supporting infrastructure
- Support data link injection and LVC integration (e.g., Link-16 or similar)
- Execute system administration tasks, including patching, account management, and configuration control
- Implement cybersecurity controls in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and system baselines
- Apply STIGs, perform vulnerability scanning, and remediate findings
- Monitor systems and logs, and support incident identification and response
- Maintain and update ATO artifacts and system documentation
- Support fielding, integration, testing, and live training events
- Troubleshoot issues across systems, networks, and data interfaces
- Travel to operational sites as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in system administration and/or cybersecurity
- Working knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and basic networking (TCP/IP)
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and DoD security practices
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent)
- Education/experience: Bachelor's degree + 3 years relevant experience, OR associate's degree + 5 years, OR High school diploma + 7 years (relevant certifications considered in lieu of degree)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with LVC environments, tactical data links, or range systems
- Exposure to Link-16 or similar data link architectures
- Familiarity with ACAS/Nessus, virtualization, or cross-domain solutions
- Experience supporting field exercises or operational test events
Security Clearance:
Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government- granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
