As a Sr. React UI Developer, you will support an application tech stack modernization effort for a federal financial record-keeping system, and you'll be responsible for converting legacy JSP code to React and creating high‑quality, accessible, and performant user interfaces that support mission‑critical initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to translate user needs into intuitive, engaging, and reliable digital experiences. This role involves pairing deep React expertise with strong engineering discipline, modern front‑end best practices, and the ability to leverage AI‑enhanced development workflows.
The Work:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain responsive React‑based applications using modern UI/UX patterns, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS frameworks.
- Deploy UI components and application content through standard DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Research, understand, and interpret project‑specific requirements and client expectations to inform UI design decisions.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and designers to apply UI/UX best practices that drive usability, accessibility, and consistency across the application.
- Translate business and functional requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and UI specifications within an Agile environment.
- Partner with QA and functional testers to define test cases, validate functionality, and support user acceptance testing.
- Participate in peer reviews of UI designs, front‑end code, and documentation to ensure quality, maintainability, and compliance with standards.
- Validate the completeness, consistency, and correctness of design deliverables; resolve discrepancies and refine UI workflows as needed.
- Leverage advanced AI‑powered development tools to research technical approaches, accelerate coding tasks, detect vulnerabilities, and improve overall software quality.
- Continuously advocate for clean code, reusable components, optimized performance, and scalable front‑end architecture.
Here’s What You Need:
- 5+ years of hands‑on React development experience.
- Experience with the Bootstrap library.
- Strong experience with Java Server Pages (JSP), JSP Standard Tag Library (JSTL), jQuery, CSS, and JavaScript.
- US citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust is required.
Bonus If You Have:
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server queries.
- Experience with TypeScript and modern React features (Hooks, Context API, functional components).
- Familiarity with Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or other state‑management libraries.
- Experience building component libraries or design systems.
- Hands‑on experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL integrations.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and Section 508 compliance.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Familiarity with containerized development environments (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience optimizing front‑end performance for large‑scale applications.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, or similar).

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
