Salesforce Architect

Ford is looking for a Salesforce Architect to be the design authority for our Salesforce ecosystem, spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, MuleSoft, and Tableau. You'll chair our Design Authority, own our architectural pattern library, and champion a configuration-first approach that keeps our platform scalable, connected, and built to last. Responsibilities

• Design and govern how Salesforce connects into Ford's wider enterprise technology estate through MuleSoft and Data Cloud, ensuring APIs and data flows are secure, scalable, and reusable.
• Chair the Salesforce Design Authority, reviewing solution designs across Sales and Service, confirming alignment to approved architectural patterns, and providing formal sign-off before development begins.
• Build and maintain a library of approved solution patterns (data model, integration, automation, security, and UX) that reduces rework and technical debt across future builds.
• Act as the gatekeeper for custom code, ensuring configuration options are fully investigated and the underlying business process is challenged before any custom build is approved.
• Maintain architectural oversight across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, and Tableau, and own the integrity of the core data model, sharing model, and security architecture.
• Proactively review each Salesforce release, identifying and recommending new capabilities to keep the platform at the leading edge.
• Own the relationship with Salesforce's Signature Success program, ensuring full utilisation of entitled services and actively shifting eligible admin and maintenance work onto Salesforce to reduce internal platform management effort.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior product leadership, translating architectural trade-offs into clear, business-relevant recommendations.
• Coach and upskill the wider development team on architectural best practice, helping build a stronger Salesforce capability across the organization.

Qualifications

Required:

• Salesforce Certified Application Architect
• Salesforce Certified System Architect
• Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant
• Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist
• Proven experience architecting enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds, including integration design and enterprise data architecture.
• Strong track record of driving configuration-first, governance-led delivery within a Salesforce environment.

Preferred:

• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
• MuleSoft Certified Platform Integration Architect and/or Platform Architect
• Tableau Certified Data Analyst / Consultant
• Salesforce Certified Platform Data Architect / Sharing and Visibility Architect
• Salesforce Certified Administrator / Platform App Builder
• Experience working with Salesforce Signature Success or similar premium support engagements.
