Leading PHP Developer

The Opportunity

Our client is one of the leading telecom service providers in the Netherlands, operating a high-volume platform built around order flows and customer self-service, with a strong focus on clean architecture and domain-driven design.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Leading PHP Developer who will take ownership of this project – leading an established team in Kaunas and collaborating directly with the client. At the same time, this role goes beyond a single project: you will drive PHP standards and best practices across Present Connection and may take on a coordinating role in other PHP projects as the company grows.

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical depth with clear communication, analytical thinking and a genuine ownership mindset.

What We Expect

• 5+ years of PHP development experience, including work on mid-to-large scale projects with multiple teams
• Solid hands-on PHP and Laravel experience across multiple versions
• Familiarity with Vue.js or Nuxt.js
• Good knowledge of relational databases – MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with Git, GitHub PR workflow and CI/CD practices
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and application lifecycle management – migrations, deploys, rollbacks
• Experience with unit and integration testing, including Test-Driven Development
• Proven ability to lead or mentor a development team
• Strong analytical thinking – able to break down complex problems and make sound technical decisions
• Excellent communication skills – comfortable working directly with clients and aligning cross-location teams
• Ownership mindset – you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants as part of daily workflow

Would be a plus

• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka or similar)
• Experience driving technical standards or architectural decisions at company level
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or AWS

The gross salary in this position is 4500-5500 EUR/month. Keep in mind that we are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and competencies.
