We are seeking an experienced Java Platform Engineer to drive the design, development, and evolution of scalable, cloud-native platforms that power high-performance digital products. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Java, Microservices Architecture, Spring Boot, and AWS, who are passionate about building resilient systems and driving engineering excellence.
As a Platform Engineer, you will contribute to the long-term platform architecture strategy, lead key technology initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and high-availability services. You will play a critical role in modernizing applications, improving engineering efficiency, and implementing best practices that enable rapid product innovation.
Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and enhance scalable platform services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Drive platform architecture initiatives aligned with long-term technology and business objectives.
- Build cloud-native applications following API-first design principles, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs and distributed systems for enterprise-scale applications.
- Review and improve operational processes through automation, monitoring, and engineering best practices.
- Implement robust security, reliability, and performance optimization strategies across platform services.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and drive continuous code quality improvements through refactoring and optimization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture guidelines, change management processes, and platform roadmaps.
- Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ to build reliable event-driven systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions and improve development efficiency.
- Support cloud deployment, containerization, and infrastructure modernization initiatives using AWS and Docker.
What Makes You a Great Fit• 5+ years of experience in Java development, preferably within product-based or internet technology organizations.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
- Proven experience designing scalable applications and API-driven platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, and cloud-native application deployment.
- Strong knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and optimization.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, security, and high-availability architecture.
