About the role The Senior Technology Business Analyst works with the Senior Manager Technology Planning and Assurance to define technology and business requirements, assess impacts, and support the successful delivery of change initiatives. The role engages with stakeholders at all levels, conducts technology assessments, manages risks, and produces clear documentation, recommendations, and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
The role leads technology assurance, governance, risk, and compliance activities, ensuring alignment with Victorian Government standards. It collaborates with internal teams and external partners to develop solutions, maintain knowledge repositories, improve processes, provide trusted technology advice, and deliver assurance reporting to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
• A relevant tertiary qualification in technology and/or IT, or at least 4 years' equivalent experience (mandatory).
• Experience working in technology regulatory compliance environments, including Personal Information Assessments, IRAP, ASD Essential Eight, Protective Data Security, Security Risk Profile Assessments and the ISM (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery including backlog management and user story development.
• Experience using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence being desirable. (desirable)
• Industry certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are (desirable)
