Overview

The Technical Writer II revises or writes standardized materials for reports, manuals, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications.

Responsibilities

  • This worker accesses manufacturers’ catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance and service of equipment
  • This worker will be required to interview production and engineering personnel. This worker may also be required to study blueprints and other technical schematics
  • Performs editing and/or rewriting of technical reports and documents for approval of author
  • Determines consistency and clarity of style within technical reports
  • Usually works without direct daily supervision, but is in regular contact with technical staff to clarify meaning, format and style of their work
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • BS – Required Degree in Business or English preferred

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience

Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO and CEO.
