Overview
The Technical Writer II revises or writes standardized materials for reports, manuals, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications.
Responsibilities
- This worker accesses manufacturers’ catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance and service of equipment
- This worker will be required to interview production and engineering personnel. This worker may also be required to study blueprints and other technical schematics
- Performs editing and/or rewriting of technical reports and documents for approval of author
- Determines consistency and clarity of style within technical reports
- Usually works without direct daily supervision, but is in regular contact with technical staff to clarify meaning, format and style of their work
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- BS – Required Degree in Business or English preferred
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience
