We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our team and support our client in Bethesda, MD.

The Solution Architect is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise financial management solutions using the OneStream XF platform. This role provides technical leadership across the full system development lifecycle, translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support mission-critical financial operations.

Working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and project leadership, the Solution Architect drives application architecture, data integration, reporting, and system enhancements while ensuring adherence to industry best practices and Agile delivery methodologies. The position also serves as a technical advisor by identifying risks, recommending innovative solutions, and promoting continuous improvement across the OneStream environment. Success in this role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, solution architecture experience, and the ability to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions that align with customer objectives and long-term business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain financial management solutions using the OneStream XF platform by applying advanced principles of computer science, software engineering, and system architecture.
  • Configure, enhance, and support OneStream components including security frameworks, event handlers, business rules, dashboards, reports, member formulas, and custom application functionality to improve overall system performance and user experience.
  • Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, application configuration, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and technical documentation to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
  • Develop interactive dashboards, financial reports, and analytical solutions that align with customer business requirements while following OneStream and industry best practices.
  • Identify technical and project risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and communicate unresolved issues to project leadership to minimize schedule and delivery impacts.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data conversion processes, integration solutions, and data load components that support accurate and efficient migration across project environments.
  • Maintain expertise in the OneStream platform by participating in product training, staying current with new releases, and applying industry best practices for financial systems and enterprise performance management.
  • Support Agile software delivery by actively participating in sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and other Scrum ceremonies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Work Experience & Job Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in systems architecture, application development, cloud technologies, infrastructure, system optimization, deployment, and enterprise solution delivery.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with OneStream or a comparable Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform, with demonstrated success delivering complex software implementations.
  • Four or more years of experience installing, configuring, administering, and optimizing OneStream XF environments.
  • Working knowledge of C# or VB.NET to support custom development and platform extensions.
  • Experience developing and supporting solutions utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and develop practical, effective solutions.

Preferred

  • Experience developing applications using VB.NET and/or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) activities, security documentation, and implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
  • Previous experience working within a consulting organization, professional services environment, or systems integration firm.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or an equivalent cybersecurity credential.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information Systems.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • CompTIA Security+ certification or an equivalent cybersecurity credential.

Clearance Requirement

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing all levels of organization
  • Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner

Travel:

  • Willing to travel occasionally.

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary; in an office environment.
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
  • Flexible in working extended hours
