Job Title: Technical Sales Mechanical Engineer – Sales Manufacturing Location: Telford, PA 18969 (candidates within a 30 - 45-minute drive of Telford preferred_)_ Experience Level: Associate (within 2 - 3 years of college graduation) Experience Required: 2 - 3 years Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred) Job Function: Sales / Engineering Industry: Machinery Relocation Assistance: No Visa Sponsorship: No

Tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an engineering / technical resource for the Sales team during customer engagements via phone, email, and web.
  • Understand customer engineering applications and provide technical product recommendations.
  • Collaborate with customer engineering and design teams to understand technical requirements and constraints.
  • Interface with internal engineering and production teams to align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Review customer drawings and specifications to support the design and quoting process.
  • Participate in customer meetings, conference calls, trade shows, and site visits to support project development and technical discussions.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, proposals, and product configurations based on customer specs.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives, customer service, and engineering teams to support customer needs and develop strong customer relationships.
  • Follow up on quotes and proposals, helping to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely follow-up, clear communications, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product offerings, applications, and industry use cases.
  • Support order entry and work with operations to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Support marketing and sales campaigns through outbound follow-ups, email campaigns, and lead nurturing.
  • Update CRM system with accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.

2 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing technical sales, sales engineering, or mechanical / application engineering (preferred) preferably within a manufacturing or OEM environment.

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex engineering concepts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Customer-focused and proactive in problem-solving.
