Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst / OneStream Solution Architect & Senior Developer will be based in Austin, Texas, reporting to the Director, Information Technology. This role is responsible for analyzing complex business challenges and delivering scalable, automated technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and support enterprise financial processes. The position serves as the lead architect and developer for OneStream applications across Financial Consolidation, Planning, Reporting, and Data Integration, translating business requirements into secure, SOX-compliant, object-oriented solutions.

In addition, this individual will design and optimize business processes and system frameworks, troubleshoot technical issues, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective and sustainable solutions. The role partners closely with Corporate Finance and cross-functional teams to provide critical month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close support, ensuring stability, integrity, and continuous improvement of financial systems and data processes throughout the application lifecycle.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Analyze complex business challenges and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automated, scalable technology solutions.
  • Partner with business and finance stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate processes, and design cost-effective systems that support strategic objectives.
  • Architect, develop, configure, and implement OneStream solutions across Financial Consolidation, Planning, Reporting, and Data Integration.
  • Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and SOX-compliant application designs and technical solutions.
  • Manage the full application lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, enhancements, documentation, and ongoing support.
  • Research, design, test, and implement new systems and system enhancements to meet evolving business and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain financial consolidation solutions, including legal and management consolidations, currency translation, eliminations, cash flow reporting, journal entries, and financial modeling.
  • Design and support planning and forecasting applications, including workforce planning, CAPEX planning, cash planning, scenario modeling, allocations, and rolling forecasts.
  • Build and maintain integrations between OneStream and ERP systems, including data validation, transformation mapping, workflow management, and drill-through reporting capabilities.
  • Develop reporting and analytics solutions, including dashboards, cube views, board books, financial reports, templates, and ad hoc reporting tools.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation to users regarding system capabilities, enhancements, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, data, reporting, and process issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for OneStream production support and partner closely with Corporate Finance to ensure successful month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure, ERP, Application Support, and Finance teams to maintain system performance, availability, security, and data integrity.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, recommending enhancements, and overseeing implementation efforts.
  • Support compliance, governance, audit, and internal control requirements related to financial systems and reporting processes.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and long-term sustainability of enterprise financial applications and business processes.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

  • Deep hands-on experience with OneStream XF across Consolidation, Planning, Reporting, and Integrations.
  • Strong understanding of EPM data structures and multidimensional databases.
  • Advanced SQL development skills.
  • Expertise in OneStream Business Rules using VB.NET and/or C#.
  • Strong troubleshooting, support, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure financial close environments while ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial information.

  • Functional knowledge, education background on Systems or industrial engineering, Computer science, programming, or related careers; or relevant working experience required.

  • Typically requires 8+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/ technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
  • Leadership, teamwork, organization of projects (project mgmt.) skills to ensure deadlines and goals are met
  • Good communication skills to bring topics into teams for understanding.
