Senior Data Analyst, Sales Effectiveness

Our Marketing function supports AXA XL’s business goals by driving a high level of external market visibility for our people, products, expertise, services, innovation and thought leadership, especially among the clients, brokers and industries we serve. We build and promote AXA XL’s commercial insurance business by proactively shaping and executing integrated marketing plans that are closely aligned with the company strategy, growth ambitions, and commitment to advancing Go-to-Market Excellence. We execute our marketing plans across different channels and leverage a variety of digital tools to strengthen market engagement, improve sales readiness, and deliver measurable business impact.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative Data Analyst, Sales Effectiveness, to support the Americas sales effectiveness function through high-quality data analysis, reporting, market and client intelligence, and operational execution. This role is part of the Americas marketing team and will help translate broker, client, pipeline, campaign, and engagement data into actionable insights that strengthen sales readiness, improve follow-up, inform targeted marketing activity, and support profitable growth across AXA XL’s commercial insurance business.
This role will report to the Head of Marketing, Americas and work closely with Americas Client & Distribution, Marketing, Product, Underwriting, Compliance, Operations, Finance, Legal, Claims, and Innovation, Data & Analytics teams.
What you’ll be DOING
What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Serve as a go-to analytical resource for the sales effectiveness function, supporting data, planning, reporting, and insights across Distribution, Marketing, strategic broker and client relationships, and key growth initiatives.
- Work closely and support the Senior Marketing Manager, Sales Effectiveness, to help execute programs that improve sales readiness, strengthen client and market intelligence, and measure the impact of marketing and sales effectiveness initiatives.
- Support broker and client management teams by producing data-driven insights, metrics, and recommendations that identify opportunities to go to market more effectively and grow the business.
Additional specific areas include:
- Client and Market Intelligence
- Oversee the preparation of client and broker meeting materials by compiling relevant relationship data, market intelligence, business priorities, and post-meeting follow-up insights.
- Monitor market insights, broker activity, client engagement, and competitive intelligence to help translate trends into sales-ready messaging, playbooks, and targeted outreach opportunities.
- Work with Marketing and Distribution partners to support targeted broker/client campaigns, using data to define audiences, measure performance, optimize activity, and improve follow-up through CRM discipline.
- Data Insights, Reporting and Analytics
- Analyze broker, client, pipeline, campaign, event, and engagement data to identify trends, opportunities, and actions that support segment growth, broker/client development, and sales effectiveness priorities.
- Produce and manage recurring reports and dashboards, including monthly broker reports, sales readiness metrics, campaign performance, follow-up activity, and ROI indicators for sales effectiveness and marketing initiatives.
- Leverage Salesforce/CRM, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools to transform data into clear, compelling insights, executive-ready materials, and practical recommendations for business stakeholders.
- Sales Operations and Project Support
- Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the Americas sales effectiveness function, including process enhancements, reporting automation, and data quality improvements.
- Maintain organized reporting processes, documentation, and version control to ensure data, materials, and insights are accurate, accessible, and reusable across teams.
- Provide project support for assigned sales effectiveness, marketing, distribution, and operational initiatives, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned to business priorities.
What you will BRING
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
- Some experience in an analyst, sales effectiveness, marketing operations, project management, distribution operations, or similar business support role.
- Robust proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce/CRM, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with marketing technology, reporting automation, or data visualization tools preferred.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, translate findings into practical recommendations, and communicate insights clearly to business audiences.
- Proven project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear reports, presentations, dashboards, and executive-ready summaries.
- Collaborative team player who can build relationships across Marketing, Distribution, Product, Underwriting, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Claims, and Innovation, Data & Analytics.
- Resourceful, detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 75,600 - 125,600.
Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
