Job Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • The IT Support Analyst role at Magna Autolaunch is to ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of end users computers including hardware, software, and access to network resources. 
  • Provide hands on and remote support for all aspects of computer use at Magna Autolaunch.
  • Assist in planning and implementing major changes to existing systems and/or implement new systems as required.
  • Represent Magna Autolaunch with customers, vendors or with Magna should interface issues arise.
  • Establish and follow procedures and audit compliance for security, anti-virus protection, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, as well as backup and disaster recovery.
  • Repair when practical or control the repair of hardware problems relating to Windows computers.
  • Comply with software license requirements.
  • Understands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position.
  • Appreciate and maintain proper level of confidentiality.
  • Adhere to Magna HR & IT policies and directives.
  • Adhere to established Autolaunch quality standards.                                                                                   
  • Ensure self and the team attend all scheduled training as deemed required by Autolaunch.         
  • Ensure team attend monthly employee meetings, complete engagement survey and participation in other company related activities and events.            
  • Support Autolaunch by making continuous improvement suggestions and encourage the team to do the same.
  • Employees attending other plants are representatives of Autolaunch and should adhere to the Autolaunch policies and other facilities' rules, policies, and procedures.                                         
  • Compliance with Magna's Code of Conduct and Ethics & Disclose it process.
  • Complete all relevant audit documentation as required.                                           
  • Adhere to the principles of Magna's Employee Charter and Operational Principles.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required.

Environmental, Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Lead by example by following the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
  • Follow the guidelines and rules as set out by the Employee Handbook and policies and procedures.
  • Live up to the responsibilities and duties as outlined in the Health and Safety Act. 
  • Support all plant EH&S initiatives and requirements.
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents and / or occupational illnesses are reported immediately in accordance with the EH&S operating principles.
  • Ensure that only authorized personnel are operating and performing tasks they have been trained on.
  • Ensure Return to Work program is followed in conjunction with human resources.  
  • Comply with designated responsibilities related to environmental and safety management systems.

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience with PC hardware, Windows 10 operating system, wired and wireless network connectivity.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
  • Experience in configuring, deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and decommissioning of desktops, laptops, MFPs, mobile phones and tablets.
  • Excellent PC hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
  • Provide technical support for on-premises & remotely connected staffs.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of software installation and licensing tools and processes.
  • Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Recognized post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, Active Directory, SharePoint, and PowerBI is an asset.
