Our DB Oracle Automation Team at Cisco focuses on streamlining and enhancing Oracle-related processes through automation and self-service capabilities. The team's mission is to deliver efficient, secure, and scalable automation solutions that empower users and administrators to manage Oracle systems effectively while minimizing manual intervention and optimizing the efforts.

Your Impact 

The ideal candidate will combine development and operations expertise to build resilient infrastructure, automate operational processes, and ensure high system availability.

• Collaborate with other core services team members to define roadmap, write clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, design, and build solutions.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure.

• Basic AI Infrastructure & Platform Understanding, Basic understanding of AI/ML workloads, model lifecycle

• Manage cloud infrastructure and container orchestration platforms. Works with technical teams and senior architects to finalize specifications related to integration between numerous systems.

• Develop, build, deploy, and operate large scale database platform automation using Python, angular, Flask.

• Develop and deliver automation software required for building & improving the functionality, reliability, availability, and manageability of databases and cloud platforms.

• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis (RCA).

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.

• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance through proactive engineering.

• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines.

• Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Docker containers).

• Champion and drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and with Agile development and software security mindset.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors 8+ years of related experience, or Masters + 3 years of related experience,

• Requires working knowledge and expanded conceptual knowledge in primary technical job family.

• Software programming experience in these programming languages and platforms: Oracle Database management, AI/ML workflow, Python, Angular, Ansible, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle APEX.

• Experience in application development, middleware, database platform management and operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of building cloud-native and server-side RESTful applications, APIs and automation tools.

• Hands-on experience in working on Linux systems and various Databases like Oracle, MS SQL-Server, MongoDB. Experience in Scaled Agile Framework

• Exposure to toolsets such as Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket and JIRA. Shall have strong exposure to DevOps methodology
