Senior Product Designer (UX)

Accountabilities: As a Senior Product Designer (UX), you will lead the creation of meaningful, scalable user experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex product challenges. You will be responsible for understanding user needs, translating scientific workflows into intuitive solutions, and ensuring design quality throughout the product lifecycle.

• Own and drive user experience initiatives across key product areas, from early discovery and concept development through delivery and continuous improvement.

• Translate complex workflows, data structures, and technical requirements into clear, accessible, and scalable user experiences.

• Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interactive designs to communicate solutions effectively.

• Apply AI-powered design tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, exploration, and iteration processes.

• Partner with UX Researchers to leverage user insights, research findings, and data-driven approaches in design decisions.

• Contribute to the evolution and scalability of design systems by creating reusable components and patterns.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of design solutions.

• Present, explain, and advocate for design decisions while incorporating feedback from stakeholders and design critiques.

• Champion user-centered design practices, including accessibility, responsive design, and consistent interaction patterns.

• Help improve product adoption, usability, and overall customer experience through thoughtful design strategies.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced product designer with a strong ability to independently manage complex design challenges and deliver high-quality solutions in collaborative environments. You should have a strong understanding of interaction design, research methodologies, design systems, and modern product development practices.

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design impact.

• Proven ability to own complex problem spaces and deliver user-focused solutions independently within cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to present design decisions clearly to global stakeholders.

• Advanced knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, visual communication, and usability principles.

• Experience creating and scaling design systems and working with component-based design approaches.

• Strong proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or equivalent platforms.

• Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve design workflows, including concept generation, prototyping, and interaction exploration.

• Solid understanding of user research methods and the ability to apply insights to product decisions.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to simplify complex concepts.

• Experience working in Agile, Lean UX, or Design Thinking environments.

• Background in Product Design, UX Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Experience designing for scientific, technical, or data-intensive products is a plus, including scientific data platforms, structured data systems, registration workflows, or research tools.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and development workflows, including prompt-based prototyping, APIs, or emerging collaboration tools, is advantageous.
