·      Base Pay Range: $90,251 - $147,285 per year, based on experience

ABOUT THE JOB

 

The Senior Project Manager- Health System is responsible for managing and coordinating all work for medium and high-complexity projects as well as providing direct management over one or more project managers. Provide functional management of multiple cross-functional teams and make strategic recommendations to shape strategy related to achieving project objectives. The Senior Project Manager- Health System will be also responsible for presenting status updates to health system executive leadership every week.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

·      Manage the planning and implementation of medium and high-complexity projects for assigned areas of responsibility for themselves. Provide direct supervision of one or more Project Manager(s) overseeing low to medium-complexity projects.

·      Maintain all appropriate project deliverables and duties including, but not limited to timelines, project scheduling, task delegation, risk management, status reporting, and project health status presentations to leadership.

·      Organize and facilitate project collaboration meetings across functional areas to ensure all project leaders are learning and connecting their work.

·      Manage project execution throughout the entire lifecycle, from business plan development through project completion.

·      Use a solution-oriented mindset to project challenges. Quickly align cross-functional teams to drive towards solutions and mitigation efforts to ensure projects stay on track.

·      Make recommendations regarding project strategy to achieve project completion.

·      Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Project Management and cross-functional team leads and provide regular, clear, and concise project updates to team leaders and health system executive leadership regarding timelines, project health status, risk identification and mitigation plans, budget tracking, and resources/capacity constraints.

·      Drive transparent communication and collaboration with project team members, as well as cross-functional internal and external business partners to ensure successful on-time project delivery.

·      Through collaboration with cross-functional and clinical team members, build relationships and strive for continuous improvement processes.

·      Leads a culture of safety through proactive risk mitigation and continuous quality improvement, taking measures to evaluate regulatory readiness routinely. Monitors and analyzes safety and performance metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions for staff and/or patients as appropriate. 

·      Manage the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage and continuity of care. 

·      Monitor and oversee time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely approval for payroll purposes. 

·      May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·      Master’s degree in management, business administration, or a healthcare-related field. 

·      Seven (7) years of relevant experience, including leadership experience. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·      Project management or other relevant experience within a healthcare setting. 

·      Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
