This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Analyst based in the United States.

This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented financial professional to support critical defense programs through financial analysis, reporting, and strategic data management. In this role, you will collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to deliver accurate insights, improve financial processes, and support informed decision-making. You will analyze program data, develop executive-level materials, and contribute to initiatives focused on improving data quality, accessibility, and operational efficiency. This remote position offers the chance to apply financial expertise in a mission-driven environment while supporting impactful government programs and working with experienced professionals.

Accountabilities

  • Provide financial analysis and support for defense-related programs, responding proactively and reactively to short- and long-term leadership requests.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop high-quality deliverables, including communication strategies, executive briefs, point papers, and analytical reports.
  • Analyze program financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support strategic initiatives focused on financial data collection, organization, control, maintenance, and accessibility.
  • Develop clear and accurate reporting materials to support leadership decision-making and program objectives.
  • Manage moderately complex assignments independently while handling more complex projects with appropriate guidance and feedback.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule and meet established quality standards.
  • Apply strong organizational and analytical skills to improve financial processes and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to maintain required clearance eligibility.
  • Experience working with SharePoint and managing structured information systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience supporting leadership and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and deliver high-quality results in a remote environment.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) certification or equivalent Defense Acquisition University (DAU) cost estimating credentials is preferred.
