Raytheon is seeking a Systems Security Engineer I (P1) to join our elite Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team in developing solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Cyber Security, Software Assurance and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems. Join our highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments, which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our Warfighters. This is an onsite position at Raytheon.

What You Will Do

• Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results
• Create patch artifacts such as patch media and information assurance posture reports; run regression tests on the system
• Validate secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets, using DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as Nessus, STIG, Evaluate STIG, and/or RADIX.
• Create and maintain Linux Bash and Python scripts

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience with systems security engineering.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.    

Qualifications We Prefer

• Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
• Experience with Linux Bash and Python scripting
• Basic understanding of the systems engineering process
• Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
