Are you an experienced network leader ready to shape enterprise-level infrastructure?  Do you have experience with and can talk-the-talk of other aspects of infrastructure (such as Active Directory, Windows/Linux servers, public cloud, IAM, or others)?  Do you have a strong security mindset? As our Network Engineering Manager, you will lead the end-to-end operation, security, and strategy of our voice and data communications networks. What you'll do 

  • Lead a voice and data network team, with responsibilities over network provisioning, compliance, vulnerability remediation, operational optimization, availability, capacity planning, and performance testing.
  • Undertake long-term policy and strategy planning on standards and service levels for communications networks.
  • Championing a regional network budget.
  • Liaise between the local business leadership, local network team, global network teams, Security teams, and more to ensure organisational expectations are met.
  • Oversee the maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of networking infrastructure.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement hardware and software upgrades to agreed standards and within deadlines.
  • Ensure all areas of responsibility comply with security protocols and other company policies.
  • Maintain communications infrastructure availability in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Handle day-to-day operational support and incident management of customer problems and requests.
  • Communicate all system issues effectively to the IT Infrastructure Manager.
  • Participate in an agreed after-hours support capability to facilitate the delivery of 24/7 production services.
  • Drive operational excellence and optimization through automation, AI, and standardization.

What experience you need 

  • 4+ years of proven experience managing a highly productive network or infrastructure team. 
  • 10+ years of proven experience in the management of voice and data networks, including provisioning and capacity planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, scheduling, and implementing network hardware and software upgrades.
  • Proven track record in managing relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Hands-on background in incident management and troubleshooting complex network and other infrastructure issues.
  • Direct experience ensuring network compliance with strict security policies and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Experience developing long-term policies and strategies for enterprise network standards.
  • Ability to participate in an agreed after-hours support roster for 24/7 production services.

What could set you apart 

  • Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Demonstrated practical skills in Change Management and Process Improvement.
  • Proven negotiation and influence skills regarding vendor and supplier management.
  • A willingness to drive AI usage to transform operational processes and team productivity.
  • Operational experience in tangential parts of infrastructure (servers, Active Directory, public cloud, virtualization technologies, etc).
  • Experience managing both local (in-country) and remote employees in a different country.
