Senior Manager, Applications Engineering

Job Summary & Responsibilities

• Manages both pre-sale and post-sale technical staff and support activities including assessment of how company products meet customer needs and the preparation of product specifications for development and installation of customized applications/solutions.
• May provide pre-sale technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations. Establishes and maintains lines of communication with design engineering on issues such as considerations for product reliability.
• Works with marketing and product managers to define new products and may provide insight from the field back to these groups.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Require to support pre-sales and post-sale and spend 50% of time providing pre-sale technical support and 50% of time providing post-sale technical support.
• Provides predominantly pre or post - sale support, match to the appropriate Pre-Sales or Post-Sales role.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Control, Mechanical, Optical, Robotics or other Engineering fields associated with Semiconductor Manufacturing. Master’s or PhD are preferred.

Experience: Minimum 7-10+ years in the semiconductor industry, preferred minimum of 2 years as Team Lead or Manager with direct reports, managing customer facing technical engagements. Metrology Applications Manager experience is strongly preferred.
