Data Analyst- CONTRACTOR
– SQL, Power BI, PowerBuilder, JSON & FHIR
Job Requirements
· Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or related role.
· Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joint, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, and query optimization.
· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including:
o Data modeling and dimensional modeling
o Relationships, cardinality, and star-schema design
o Power Query and data transformation
o DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables
o Time intelligence and advanced DAX calculations
o Report and dashboard development
o Data visualization and dashboard best practices
o Power BI Service, workspaces, publishing, and sharing
o Row-Level Security (RLS)
o Performance optimization and troubleshooting
· Experience with PowerBuilder, including development, maintenance, debugging, and enhancement of existing applications.
· Strong understanding of JSON, including reading, parsing, transforming, validating, and integrating JSON data from APIs and other data sources.
· Experience working with FHIR APIs and healthcare data standards, including extracting, transforming, validating, and analyzing healthcare data where applicable.
· Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts, data integration, and data quality.
· Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective reports, dashboards, and data solutions.
· Experience working with large datasets and identifying trends, patterns, anomalies, and business insights.
· Good understanding of relational databases and database design principles.
· Ability to troubleshoot data, reporting, integration, and application issues and determine root causes.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with business users, developers, and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
· Knowledge of SQL Server and Microsoft data technologies.
· Familiarity with FHIR implementation guides and healthcare interoperability.
· Understanding of data governance, security, and reporting standards.
· Master’s degree or higher in a related discipline is a plus.
