WHO WE ARE

Ovoko is transforming Europe’s €30B+ used car parts market - a massive, fragmented industry still largely offline. We connect 7,000+ scrapyard owners, car parts sellers and dismantlers with millions of buyers through our marketplace, SaaS and logistics platform, making it effortless to trade parts across borders. With over 42 million parts listed, we’ve grown into one of Europe’s fastest-scaling e-commerce companies, but the real opportunity lies ahead, as we build a real category-defining platform worldwide.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A truly great Search is a cornerstone of every successful e-commerce business and requires dedicated team(s) who understand the problem, constantly monitor the metrics and are up to date with the latest and the greatest ways to push conversion rates ever higher.

Our mission is clear and ambitious: to revolutionize the automotive industry by building the most efficient platform that enables a circular economy for used parts.

Search is where this mission either succeeds or fails. It is the moment where customer intent meets fragmented, imperfect supply and where complexity must be converted into confidence, speed, and trust. Improving search is not about incremental UX tweaks, but about making the right product decisions under real constraints.

You will be the first hire for a brand new team, whose job is going to be to decide how we are going to build and scale our Search efforts. We have a few ideas already, but you will be the person who will actually decide what is going to be the first step, and what are we going to do to really make it happen. This is a high stakes role and we are ready to invest a lot of money to build something really great.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

• Fully own the problem: you will be directly responsible for the entire Search problem within the company. We will give you full decision rights for how you want to run your team and build the product. The rest of the business will support you to hire the talent and get whatever you need to first build and then scale the part catalogue.

• Lead discovery: figure out what is possible, what the customers actually need, and where the biggest opportunities lie.

• Execute: work hand-in-hand with the people you will decide to hire. We think you’ll need a few backenders, data analysts and potentially a designer.

• Measure the impact: know if the work that you are doing is pushing your product and the ultimate vision forward.

• Champion the user: advocate for solutions that create a satisfying user experience for our users, and help them solve their problems in an effective and efficient way.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner for B2B SaaS, ERP, Marketplace or workflow management software products.

• Someone who thrives in uncertainty. You will have too much data, too many potential experiments and technological bottlenecks and will need to make some bets.

• Data driven mindset. This is a hard requirement. Can’t build proper search without advanced data analytics, metrics and monitoring tools

• Structured problem solver who can break down messy problems into clear, actionable steps.

• Strong technical insight - you are able to discuss APIs, integrations, and backend logic with engineers.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence without authority.
