About the Role
You will join a test team working with advanced sensor technology where quality needs to hold up across both hardware and software. In this role, you get to work close to the product, from embedded systems and communication interfaces to prototypes, sensor modules and automated test flows.
You will collaborate closely with development teams to secure functionality, testability and reliable system behavior throughout the full technology stack. The work combines structured test engineering with practical lab work, which means you move naturally between defining test cases, building setups, troubleshooting issues and improving automation. It is a great opportunity if you enjoy hands-on testing in a technically deep environment where LiDAR, embedded systems and automation meet.
Job Description
- You will plan, define, execute and document system and integration tests.
- You will test LiDAR hardware and embedded systems with focus on range, accuracy, functionality, integration and environmental performance.
- You will perform end-to-end testing across the full technology stack.
- You will develop, maintain and improve automated tests.
- You will build and refine test environments, rigs and test setups.
- You will assemble, integrate and debug prototype boards and sensor modules.
- You will work closely with development teams to improve testability and strengthen test automation across different system components.
- You will analyze test results, report defects and drive structured follow-up.
Requirements
- Experience with systematic and structured testing of both hardware and software.
- Experience with end-to-end and full-stack testing, both manual and automated.
- Knowledge of Linux, networking and communication protocols such as TCP/IP and serial communication.
- Experience with test automation using Python, Robot Framework or similar tools.
- Understanding of CI/CD, build pipelines and how automated tests are integrated into development workflows.
- Experience working closely with development teams from a testability and test automation perspective.
- Hands-on ability to assemble, integrate and troubleshoot hardware, prototype boards and sensor modules.
- Understanding of embedded systems and sensor integration.
- You communicate well and are comfortable working in an environment where hardware and software are developed in parallel.
