Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery. The ideal candidate will excel at gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and translating business objectives into clear, actionable specifications for development teams. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and successful delivery of business value. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and system interactions.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Support Product Owners in backlog refinement, prioritization, and ensuring requirements are well-defined and ready for development.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and feasibility assessments for new features or process changes.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions with business and technical teams.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
- Assist in defining and validating test cases, user acceptance criteria, and release readiness.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows, business rules, and system behavior.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending process enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development or enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation techniques.
- Hands-on experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex concepts.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements clearly and effectively.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience in domain-specific areas such as healthcare, finance, e-commerce, or enterprise systems.
- Understanding of UX principles and user-centric design.
Soft Skills
- Exposure to data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel advanced functions, SQL basics).
- Experience supporting Product Owners or working in scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS).
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA certifications.
- Strong attention to detail and structured thinking.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple, clear language.
