Full description

Are you ready to build computer vision solutions that solve real-world industrial challenges and take ownership from experimentation and model development all the way to production?

At Advian, we are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with a strong focus on Computer Vision to join our Industrial AI team and build advanced AI solutions for our customers especially in the manufacturing sector.

ADVIAN

Advian builds advanced data and technology solutions for the energy and manufacturing sectors. We combine deep industry expertise with data, analytics, AI and software development to solve complex operational challenges and turn data into better decisions.

Our projects range from modern data and analytics solutions to Industrial AI, computer vision and Edge AI applications. Our flat and self-directed culture gives you the autonomy to make an impact while working with highly skilled colleagues.

THE ROLE

Your main responsibility is to develop high-quality algorithms and optimize existing ones.

Data sources are mostly real-time 2D images, but there is plenty of variation – from numerical IoT time-series data to videos, motion data and different wavelengths and imaging modalities, such as thermal and infrared.

You will have the opportunity to work with large datasets in cloud environments, while also challenging yourself with real-time requirements and the limited computational resources of edge devices.

Your responsibilities include:

- Developing and optimizing computer vision and machine learning algorithms for industrial use cases - Building production-grade solutions using real-time image, video and other sensor data - Solving performance and deployment challenges across cloud and edge environments - Working closely with customers and other Advian experts to make technical decisions and turn real-world challenges into working solutions

Depending on your background and interests, you may also work with different types of data, sensor data, Edge AI and hardware-specific optimization.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced engineer with a full-stack mindset – someone who enjoys solving real-world problems end-to-end, from understanding the challenge and developing the right solution to deploying it into production.

We would fit each other perfectly if you have:

- At least 3 years' relevant experience (software engineering, computer vision etc.) - Consulting skills / experience from customer consulting/projects - Excellent programming skills (like Python, C/C++, Rust) - Practical experience with production-grade machine/deep learning solutions - Image, video and signal processing techniques - Mathematical aptitude

It is considered a plus if you have any of these:

- Edge AI specific experience - Understanding of the interface of the hardware and software technologies - Up-to-date understanding of the latest developments in machine vision - Experience of point clouds and 3D perception - Experience of future real-time sensor data (like radiography, ultrasound, voice etc.)

WHY ADVIAN

At Advian, you get to work on Industrial AI solutions where your work has a real-world impact. You won’t be limited to one part of the ML lifecycle – you can work across the whole solution, from solving the initial problem to building and deploying solutions that work in production.

- Flexible working hours and location - A low-hierarchy and self-directed culture - A supportive team of highly skilled professionals - Freedom to influence technical choices and how solutions are built - Challenging and meaningful customer projects
