Engineering Manager

What you’ll do
As an Engineering Manager in our Brisbane office, you’ll lead and coordinate discipline engineering activities across projects and assignments within our Queensland Mining & Resources team. You’ll provide technical leadership, guide multidisciplinary delivery and create an environment where people can perform, develop and contribute their best.
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of complex multidisciplinary engineering projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
- Provide technical leadership to engineers, designers and multidisciplinary project teams, supporting capability development through coaching and mentoring.
- Review and approve key engineering deliverables, including designs, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality engineering advice that informs decision-making.
- Manage project resources, discipline work plans, estimates and priorities to support successful project outcomes.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement and optimisation opportunities across projects and engineering processes.
- Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines to deliver resilient, practical and client-focused solutions.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture built on trust, communication, accountability and shared success.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant engineering qualifications and proven experience within mining, industrial, utilities, energy, or process plant environments.
- Chartered and RPEQ accredited (or working towards), with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
- Experience leading projects through the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept development to detailed design and execution.
- Strong technical capability, commercial awareness and the ability to balance engineering excellence with practical project outcomes.
- A collaborative leadership style, with a track record of mentoring teams and building strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence stakeholders across complex, multidisciplinary environments.
