What You Will Do

The F135 Engine Design and System Integration (EDSI) organization is seeking a self-starting individual with strong teamwork skills to support subject matter experts in the integration of engineering intent into field and depot sustainment practices for the F135 base engine and Engine Core Upgrade programs. This role is an opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of engineering functions required to support fielded engines including performance assessments, condition based inspection support, engagement with sustainment and data organizations to verify implementation and execution of required maintenance, and analysis of fleet maintenance data. This role requires integration with Control and Diagnostics Systems, internal component groups (CIPTs), Customer Support Engineering, Field Support Engineers, PW Sustainment organizations, and the Joint Program Office.

  • Support F135 Production and Field Support subject matter experts in execution of program requirements.
  • Use data to confirm task execution in accordance with safety needs.
  • Understand relevant execution and detection processes, driving improvements when required.
  • Communicate technical topics with both JPO and P&W leadership.
  • Problem solving at an increasing level of complexity that spans a wide range of difficult and unique issues across multiple engine components.
  • Understand F135 fleet management systems and methods.
  • Travel is up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 2 years of engineering experience, or an advanced degree in engineering

Qualifications We Prefer

  • BS in Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • SQL, Python, Visual Basic, or other data query experience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience in F135 fleet sustainment or F135 data systems

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
